CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE ASSOCIATE

As a Customer Experience Associate, you are the face, hands, and heartbeat of SANDSTONE. You bring the brand to life on the sales floor every day through thoughtful service, product storytelling, immaculate presentation, and dependable execution.

This role is not just about "helping customers". It's about creating a space people want to stay in, return to, and buy from.

You support the leadership team by delivering exceptional in-store service while keeping the environment stocked, beautiful, accurate, and running smoothly.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Experience & Selling
    • Create warm, genuine, and confident interactions that make every guest feel welcomed, seen, and cared for.

    • Actively engage customers through product knowledge, styling guidance, pant and home storytelling, and thoughtful recommendations.

    • Support daily sales goals by contributing to a high-conversion, service-driven selling culture.

    • Operate POS and mobile tools accurately for checkout, exchanges, and online order support.

    • Resolve basic service issues on the floor and escalate thoughtfully when needed.

Floor Standards & Environment
    • Maintain impeccable floor presentation: product displays, plants, cleanliness, restocking, and visual consistency.

    • Support daily care of plants and lifestyle products (watering, cleaning, rotating, replenishing).

    • Assist with visual updates, resets, and seasonal transitions as directed by leadership.

    • Ensure the space always feels intentional, calm, and inspiring - even during high traffic periods.

Product Flow & Operations Support
    • Receive, unpack, tag, and stock products accurately and efficiently.

    • Replenish the floor from the stockroom and maintain basic organization standards.

    • Assist with order fulfillment locating product for customers and team members.

    • Follow inventory rising and operational procedures to support accuracy and loss prevention.

    • Maintain back-of-house cleanliness, safety, and organization.

Team & Culture
    • Contribute to a respectful, dependable, and solutions-oriented team environment.

    • Communicate clearly with managers about customer feedback, product issues, and operational needs.

    • Show curiosity: learn product details, brand standards, and service expectations.

    • Represent SANDSTONE's values, aesthetic, and tone in how you speak, move, and work.

SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

    • Customers feel comfortable, inspired, and excited to return.

    • The floor is consistently stocked, cared for, and visually strong.

    • Product is handled accurately and efficiently.

    • The team trusts you to show up, follow through, and support the experience.

    • You actively contribute to sales, service quality, and store atmosphere.

WHO YOU ARE

    • Naturally warm, observant, and reliable.

    • Comfortable talking to people and guiding them without being pushy.

    • Interested in home, plants, lifestyle, design, and retail environments.

    • Able to multitask and stay composed in a dynamic setting.

    • Open to feedback and willing to learn systems, standards, and brand language.

    • Able to use POS and retail technology.

    • Able to lift up to 50lbs and move through floor and stock spaces.

    • Available for a flexible schedule including weekends, weekdays, evenings, and holidays.
